To draw a parallel line for an existing line, you activate the Parallel Line tool and then hold and drag an existing line.
You have two options for drawing perpendicular lines: perpendicular from a point and perpendicular to a point. Perpendicular from a point requires you to tap an origin point and then tap an existing line. To draw a perpendicular line to a point you just need to tap a point on an existing line.
